My name is Elzbieta and I’m a creator and owner of Mayahelena Studio. Apart from myself, Maya, my daughter and aspiring jeweler, shares her creations through SwallowTail Arts Collection.
My journey to jewelry making probably started in early childhood and fascination with rocks and natural world. Forward 45 years and two careers and I still collect rocks and specimens wherever I go, even if it is a daily walk with my dog, Pretzel.

I originally come from Poland but have been calling New Jersey my home for the last 25 years.
I live with my family in the rural area in the south of the state, close to the pine barrens, Delaware River, the Atlantic, and Philadelphia.
I travel as often as I can, close and far, home and abroad, and I can say travel is my most energizing activity. The possibility of the new experience, the anticipation of the unknown, the discovery and awe.
My inspiration comes from nature, travel, history and life. I find and tell a story in each piece of jewelry that I make. The colors, shapes and textures of the stones and metal put me in places I visited in person or in my imagination.
