My name is Elzbieta Frydel and I am the creator of Mayahelena Studio. Jewelry designer is one of many hats I wear as an online business owner. It is a one woman operation as I call it. My background is in graphic design and I'm not a professionally trained metalsmith. I started making jewelry 15 years ago as a hobby and... for the love of stones.

I was born in Poland but have been living in the United States for 25 years now. I have 2 daughters, Maya and Olivia who are in college now, a golden retriever named Pretzel and a cat called Kicia.

I create in a home studio in the south of New Jersey, close to the shore and pine barrens. I loooove nature and travel and draw a lot of my inspiration from it.

I mostly sell on Etsy but decided to launch my independent store as the fees get more and more expensive and competition from pseudo 'hand made' products is difficult to compete. You can check my Etsy store to see my ratings and previous sold out designs at mayahelena.etsy.com
