This pair was made as a special request and came out so sweet and dainty. They celebrate peridot, sometimes called chrysolite. Peridot is a yellow-green transparent variety of olivine. It is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one color. Peridot is one of only two gems (the other one is diamond) observed to be formed not in Earth’s crust, but deep in the molten rock of Earth’s mantle. Gem-quality peridot is rare on Earth’s surface due to alteration during its movement from deep within the mantle and weathering at the surface. The peridots in this pair are faceted and have nice juicy green color and clarity. The drops at about 10.5 mm are quite big in the world peridot. They are dangled gracefully on simple sterling silver ear wires. All metal is sterling or fine silver that has been oxidized and hand polished.
